<image:caption>Donations Collection of items for families arriving in the Northeast We will be collecting household items, and other items, to support displaced Ukrainians and other newcomers arriving in the Northeast. These items will include: Household furniture: tables, chairs, beds, lamps, etc Dishes and kitchen items Bedding, linens laptops, cell phones, and other devices for communication We will continue to collect these items as long as the need persists. Theses items will be collected and stored until families require them. As our needs may vary from family to family, please contact the office before dropping off any donations. If we are not in need of a specific item, we will not accept it in order to hold space for items we are in need of. Monetary donations Our office is always open to accepting monetary donations. As we are solely provincially funded, we rely on donations to meet certain needs that are not funded, or are under funded. We use donations to assist families in crisis with food security, personal hygiene products or other needs that must be new items, other office costs, and many other situational needs. We also accept donated services and gift cards from local businesses. If you are interested in donation, please contact the office. In summer of 2022, your donations have helped us purchase English learning materials for Ukrainian children, food for new families in isolation, baby diapers and formula for families in need, school supplies, and much more. Thank you! Monetary donations can also be made to the following places: Statement on Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website: “Recognizing the generosity of Canadians and their desire to assist those affected by the crisis, Canada launched a matching fund on February 25, 2022. Canada will match, dollar for dollar, donations made by individual Canadians to the Canadian Red Cross, between February 24 and March 18, 2022, for crisis relief in Ukraine up to a maximum of $10 million. To make a (financial) donation: visit the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal online call 1-800-418-1111 With the matching fund contribution, the Red Cross will support preparedness, immediate and ongoing relief efforts, and other critical humanitarian activities as needs of people affected by the conflict in Ukraine arise, including support to populations that have been displaced.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Community Help - Volunteer</image:title>
<image:caption>As a 1 person organization, we will be looking to the communities in the Northeast to help out when Ukrainians arrive. People have started arriving, however we do not have details on how many will be arriving overall, what community they will be residing in, or what services they will be in need of. At this time, we are searching for people who would be able to assist us with: Interpretation and translation from Ukrainian and Russian to English and back Transportation - Potentially from the airport, but likely just around the community to attend appointments and get acquainted with places. General tasks - These could include anything from assisting with donation pick up and drop off, to helping coordinate other volunteers, or helping with some general office tasks so our Settlement Advisor can assist clients directly. Storage Space - at this time we have secured enough storage space. In addition to the Northeast, there will be volunteers needed across the province. In high demand will be for those who can speak fluent Ukrainian or Russian and English. If you have this skill set, please consider also registering with Ukrainian Canadian Congress - Saskatoon as a translator or interpreter that they can have in their database for Saskatchewan. You can register here. For more information, please contact the UCC Saskatchewan Language Services Coordinator at 1.888.652.5850 ext. 105 or email language.services@ucc.sk.ca.</image:caption>
